WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are a group from Uganda and UK passionate about enabling children from challenging environments to flourish. Our shared Christian faith is the source of our inspiration.
Nsumbi Trust supports schools for the most vulnerable and marginalised in Uganda. SJCC is a primary school on the outskirts of Kampala. We work in partnership with Pastor Stephen Jota and the School Management Committee to ensure that, through sponsorship, children receive the best possible education. Our involvement focuses on the needs of the child as well as the household and community from which they come. Our representatives work with local agencies and community leaders to ensure support is given to the most needy.

Pastor Stephen Jota works with the School Management Committee and the Head Teacher to ensure each child is cared for and is able to reach their potential. Nsumbi Trust receives regular updates on childrens progress and ensures key policies such as safeguarding and student welfare are being implemented effectively.
"I love looking after the children in the boarding section. I am like a mother to them. Most of these children do not have parents or guardians who are able to care for them. It's great seeing them grow and gain confidence".
